The California Office of Administrative Law recently approved regulations drafted by the California Fair Employment and Housing Council (FEHC) that went into effect on April 1, 2016. These new anti-discrimination and anti-harassment regulations require compliance by most employers in the state of California. The new regulation has expanded the number of employees covered by protected characteristics, required employers to rewrite and disseminate anti-discrimination and harassment policies, imposed new requirements for harassment and discrimination training, and redefined “transgender”, “gender expression”, and “gender identity.” In response, Prositions and MYCA Learning have incorporated these changes into their new harassment prevention training courses, HERO and WHPL, to ensure full compliance with the new regulations by the FEHC.

Stephen Anderson, President & CEO of Anderson-davis, Inc. is a subject matter expert on the topic of training materials and consulting services in the fields of preventing sexual harassment, building respectful workplaces, conducting investigations, and facilitating the healing process. He has worked alongside Prositions and MYCA:Learning to ensure compliance with the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) regulation change. “Bottom line,” he stated, “the modules in the HERO course reasonably meet and exceed the requirements to provide training in a ‘meaningful manner’ on these topics.”

The Harassment Education and Retaliation Overview (HERO) course is an entertaining mystery-based harassment and retaliation prevention course that invites participants to interact in a 3D virtual environment to figure out who was suspended and why. HERO consists of 9 modules and includes over 40 video scenarios that challenge participants’ understanding of their employer’s anti-harassment and retaliation policies while also teaching them when and where they apply.

Workplace Harassment: Prevention and the Law (WHPL) is designed specifically for office employees and includes 15 interactive scenario dramatizations. The training program features episodes that engage learning through realistic character development that clarify the types of behavior prohibited by your sexual/non-harassment policy and shows the impact of harassment. In addition, these scenarios demonstrate different ways of stopping unwelcome behavior.

Ensure they have written policies that comply with the new regulations and that such policies are disseminated in one or more of the approved methods
Ensure that proper compliance and investigation procedures are in place
Ensure supervisors and human resources personnel receive proper training on the new regulations so that all inquiries and potential complaints can be addressed in a compliant manner

Prositions Named Finalist for Two Prometheus Awards

New Division Created to Support Rapid Growth at Prositions

The website contains numerous features, such as mobile responsiveness, search engine optimization, clean layouts featuring updated graphics and images, enhanced readability, and a fresh, new look. A strong emphasis was placed on featuring the company’s True Development Model that is highlighted in a complimentary research paper entitled Beyond Leadership Training.

Prositions Releases MentorString Version 2.8 at Three Trade Shows

Prositions announces the release of the latest version of its award-winning software platform,MentorString.
