Prositions, Inc. Helps Veterans Find Jobs Via Technology

Prositions, Inc., a career coaching and consulting firm, will be conducting a one-hour training session at DMACC, Ankeny Campus, on April 4, 2012, from 10:45 am until 11:45 am. The presentation, “Life After Military Service; Achieve Your Education and Career Goals,” will cover key components to a successful career search, utilizing technology for veterans.

“We will be providing practical information to military veterans, and their families that will help them use the power of technology to ease back into the workforce after their military service has been completed. This will include, teaching participants how to prepare digital resumes, search for careers online, as well as, how to utilize the latest networking and social media technology,” said Craig Robbins, Manager of Veterans Programs, Prositions, Inc.

The session is part of the Iowa Veterans Career Retreat that is hosted by DMACC. The event will include breakout sessions, panel discussions and individual coaching sessions.

“We are very pleased to be participating at this event. We see this as a continued outreach effort for our ProVeteran Program, that we offer at no charge, to assist veterans and their families as they transition back into the civilian workforce,” said Robin Salsberry, President, Prositions, Inc.

Prositions, Inc. Sponsors Wounded Warrior Event

Prositions, Inc., a career coaching and consulting firm, announced today that it is sponsoring the Warrior Challenge and 5K Walk/Run event, hosted by the University of Iowa Veterans Association. The Warrior Challenge event will begin at 8:00 am on March 31, 2012, at Hawkeye Recreational Fields in Iowa City, IA.

The Warrior Challenge will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which strives to raise awareness, and enlist the public’s aid for injured military veterans and their families. The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to participate.

“We are committed to helping veterans, and the Warrior Challenge provides us with another great opportunity to show our continued support. This event complements our ProVeteran Career Program, which provides the latest job placement tools, technology, and access to career coaches at no cost to the veteran or their families,” said Craig Robbins, Manager of Veterans Programs, Prositions, Inc.

The fundraiser is an inaugural event for the University of Iowa Veterans Association and will allow the organization to expand its reach and services to assist veterans.
